Post pictures of your reefer cars. Wooden, steel, ice, mechanical, milk, etc. I have a few and I usually mix the mechanical and steel reefers a little.
Wish I could post photos. But I'm not happy with my efforts and afraid I've got too many FGEX and other "Our Companies" reefers to fit on my layout for photos in the first place. Perhaps I can convince my wife to take the photos on the club layout. She's capable, I'm not. Then there's posting 'em to the internet which neither of us has done. Would love to post photos of how the SAL used it's power to move perishables. My layout has two farm sidings and one packing shed.
Flah, Nice touch with the salt drips down the sides. I used to work at the PFE ice dock in ELP and it was difficult to not spill some salt on top. When breaking up the 300# block of ice there would be bits and pieces that would melt and mix with the salt and run down the sides. Carl

Great Duff reefer! With my old Westport I had a brewery which made Duff beer. This is my very first reefer, I've weathered it with chalk. Wolfgang
Here is what I consider a unique reefer model, at least for N scale. This is a woodside reefer with steel roof and ends. It was kitbashed from two Micro Trains reefers. I am presently unable to say with certainty if these were prototypical, but I think they were. PFE mechanical. Golden West 62 footer. Very modern for me. SPFE in that transition period of the PFE break-up.
I really like billboard reefers, wood or steel. They add color and variety to a train. The above is my current collection, which includes many of those I used to have as a kid. Every time I go to a swap meet or flea market, I try to snap up some new ones.
