Hello, not long ago I purchased an old Kato Slumbercoach set with 2 NP and the MP and B&O Slumbercoaches. I am going to fix the NP Slumbercoaches like Mike Skibbe proposed in N Scale Railroading 2004. The MP and B&O Slumbercoaches are going to be changed into the ones owned by CB&Q. They had full skirtings and a total of 4: Silver Siesta, Silver Slumber, Silver Rest and Silver Repose. My question ist: Where do i find decals for the CB&Q Slumbercoaches? I looked at the offerings from Microscale, but the name "Slumbercoach" didn't pop up. Can anybody please help me? Are there stand-in decals? Frank
I think you will need to combine some sets: 60-1184 or 60-1159 have most of the lettering, but not the Slumbercoach-specific logo. You can get that from this NP set : 60-208
Decals for CB&Q Slumbercoach Thanks for the advice! I don't think I'm gonna need the Slumbercoach logo as the blue printed lettering (Pullman, Baltimore & Ohio, Sleepland) can be taken off with an eraser without damaging the silver paint, so I am not going to touch the Slumbercoach logo. But one thing worries me: Next to the Slumbercoach logo there is a lettering, SC6 (on the B&O Slumbercoach) and SC7 (on the MP Slumbercoach). Has this to be modified for prototypical appearance?
