I say if anything that rack isn't weathered ENOUGH: http://www.krunk.org/~joeshaw/pics/sp/autorack.shtml Take a look at the condition of some of those. There probably isn't any metal left on a couple, only rust and paint. I did thses with paint washes. They haven't been hit with dullcoat yet and the pic is from a cell phone but they look pretty close to the proto photos of similar rack. They can get pretty beat up before they get rebuilt/repainted.
Went to the trainshow here in San Diego this weekend and got two boxcar kits. These are HO 36 footers. Since they were the same car I repainted and labled the car on the right for my private road. I don't care much for the original paint job, too shiney, so I usually weather everything. Jim
