Oh, two things I forgot to mention. First, the parallel track on the top now curves off out-of-sight between the buildings, including a building with an angled wall (this goes off to more industrial areas off the layout). This would also be a great place for the classic John Allen mirror trick, where you put in a mirror flat across the tracks so that it appears to continue on. Since it's right next to an angled building wall, it's just perfect! The second was that the back of the building on the bottom left, since it's partly cut off, can easily be used as a control panel. Let me know what you think!
 That is absolutely awesome! The local model railroad club is having a show tomorrow (www.SSMRC.org) Looks like I have some shopping to do. Thanks a lot sir, I wish other forums not relating to trains were as helpful as here!
Glad I could help. If you're going to a show, print out the track plan and bring it with you. That way you can show others what you're doing and get more tips for models, scenery, etc. And if you do build it up, take pictures and post them here. I love to see progress.
So I've been following this thread for the past few days and only just realized who started it. Hey Garrett!
