I know the general topic is raised from time to time. The makers of UK outline appear to be more interested in this sort of thing than are the makers of US outline. I have a pair of Kato F40PH locomotives in Amtrak 3 livery, which I bought with the intention of "top and tail" operation on my express service (Con-Cor passenger cars in Amtrak 2 livery) but I've been told that SOMEONE makes dummy ones. If I can get hold of a pair, I could then run double heading in the usual way, with the second pair (one powered and one dummy) to take the train back out of my terminus. Any suggestions, please, regarding a source? Regards, Pete Davies
Life Like made a F40PH powered/dummy pair a while back, you can still find them on eBay for about $30 for the pair.
