Hi, i am new to this form. i have a small n scale layout and want to build a another on30 layout (my dog tor up the last one). here is my track plan thanks
I assume you have a Porter? Which one? The radii in this plan look pretty small. Glad to see a small On30 layout being considered. Jim:tb-biggrin:
OK, iv put down track and glued it I will soon have videos of the train going around it I am working on building a second coal car. Here is a pic of my first coal car: http://www.flickr.com/photos/75252273@N02/6892114417/in/photostream/lightbox/ here is my review of my porter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJe_glAzU1A&list=UUuDqQIE83yQPJR5wTFhHqhA&index=59&feature=plcp thanks

I really like those little engines. Their side rods flailing away, makes it seem as though they are doing some serious work.

Not at all. There have been 450+ views of the topic. So obviously there is interest. Myself included...
ummmm spur you mean layout???? i have alot planed i want to build a engine shed and a mini freight depot. and add some grasses. i havent been able to work on it very often because im in the middle of moving.
Well, you basically have an oval with a single spur. I take it that's where the engine shed will go now that you've listed it. That can make for a very nice scene.
Moving can be very disruptive, especially to model railroading. At least with a Micro Layout, you can usually take it with you, rather than having to tear it down and start over. I've been thinking for a long time that an On30 Micro Layout might be fun to try. Please keep us posted of any progress. Bill in FtL
