I am looking for any information about the color for the NS Lehigh Valley engine. I am looking to use it to paint up a couple of fantasy engines. It does not look like the cornell red I have here at home.

Is this what you're looking for? It looks like a pure red. I don't think they were trying to duplicate any particular LV paint scheme

Actually I have several of the pictures from around the web. Each picture the red looks slightly different depending on the light. I was wondering if anyone knows a good color match

I've seen quite a few color photos of LV diesels and as far as I can tell it varied from a very dark red to an almost Pennsy Tuscan red. It was very variable. Believe there's an Anthracite Roads group on the internet and you'll probably get all the info you'll need.

LV Cornell Red photographs odd in certain lighting because the original color of red has shades of blue and black in it. I would start with Polly Scale LV Cornell Red which is a maroon color and ad a drop or two of Polly Scale Satin clear to simulate the modern DuPont sheen.
