Diner Help

I am using Imex diner for this project. Have all the paint done all the windows cut out.
I was wondering if anyone had a Idea for the canopy on the front.
please let me know.

Make it out of paper, and use scalloped-edge scissors?

Try making an awning frame and then use monocott film from the R/C plane hobby dept.
it looks like shrink wrap and will make the awning look just like the one in the picture.

 

Maybe a visit to Micheals or a sewing craft store and look for narrow cloth edging material. Usually sold by the yard or sometimes by the foot. According to my Wife it is called bias tape and it is a cloth material.
