Oh Man!! I did not believe the tittle until I started reading. I will miss following his projects. He always seemed to have a way of writing that kept me interested. He had so much more modeling to do. Charges me up!!! Wolfgang, thinking of you.
Truly sad to hear of the passing of a master of the hobby. It's a reflection of Wolfgang's friendship that he has obviously touched so many of us. May he rest in peace. George V.
Like so many others who have interacted with Wolfgang Dudler, I have not interacted with him too much, since I am into the real thing. But like so many others on here, our hearts are heavy, our eyes filled with tears for the passing of a wonderful inspiration to those in the Model Railroading community. Wolfgang Dudler--may there be high greens between here and Heaven. Rest in Peace dear brother. You now are riding the "Golden Route" of Heaven.
Did not know of his passing till reading just now. Don't know what else to say than,,adios wolfgang. wyatt
Sorry to hear. If somebody would like to try and save his site, I found some contacts here: http://whois.domaintools.com/westportterminal.de Not sure which of those numbers are the actual host company. But sometimes if you call them and tell them what the situation is, they will give you access to save the files... Or sometimes keep the site going as a courtesy. If not, the files could possibly be transferred onto someone else's space as a sub domain.
Aww that is a shame. I have written back and forth with him on line before, and I tried to look him up during the US convention in Rodgau. I probably talked to him and had not realized it at the time. Us Americans, have lost a friend.
Wolfgang, May all your signals be green and your boiler full of steam. Rest in peace. My condolences to his family on their loss. Cary Hewitt
Although sad, this thread just is what makes this site the best of its kind. The outpouring of sympathy for one of our own is touching to see. We all take this time to take pause for our old friend amd colleague to mourn his passing. It seems only fitting at a time like this to take stock in all that's dear. Wolfganf being one of them. Thanks for the memories...
That's a real shame. I loved seeing his stuff. Never got a pass with him, either. Sent one, but I think it got eaten, and never got to a followup. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in Peace, High Greens.
Having been traveling, I missed this until today. RIP, dear friend Wolfgang. I do shed tears for someone gone too early, but also know that passing can be a blessing. My sincere prayers for his family.
