Thanks Mike for posting that video! And thanks to NS for taking the time to honor our vets in such an awesome way!
Interesting to me just to see a paint shop. Painting that engine is a big job. (I'll have to remember not to complain about masking.)
I want one just like that one! Really neat looking and really cool to see how it was done. I am gladI own NS stock!
Very nice paint job, nice of NS to honor our veterans. Really cool video to see how it's done. Thanks for sharing it, Mike!
Very cool Mike! I had to look twice to realize that it was an SD-60 Admiral Cab. I guess we have nothing to make the correct loco, cab and nose are pure NS. Bob.
That's awesome! I was trying to figure out which road this locomotive was being painted for. The red threw me off in the beginning, but I guess all of the black overspray on the walls was a clue. As an NS guy I gotta say I want one!!!
Wow, very impressive. I tried to figure out what the end result would be by watching how it was masked, but that was impossible. Thanks for posting this Mike.
I do not say this about very many trains anymore but if Atlas produced that even with the wrong cab I would pick one up. Kevin
I normally will not sit for 7 minutes to watch a video, but this had me spellbound. A really interesting video. The first thing I thought about was, what RR is this loco for? That was settled as soon as I saw the stripe masking being applied on the front. But the color of the front still had me wondering a bit. The black on the rear half wasn't visible until the locomotive pulled out at the end. One final question. What was the total elapsed real time to complete this paint job?
I am humbled to be a Veteran of these United States . Thanks to NS for an awesome tribute to all our Veterans !!! I 'll take two in N scale ... they can be the first two engines in a " Veterans are Not Forgotten " train ... Thanks Mike, for sharing this video!
