Hs anyone become real familiar with any Mac platform track layout software. I downloaded a trial version of Empire Express 2.10. Just read tutorials a bit, but wonder what others have done.
    Thanks,

There is not a lot to choose from for track planning software for osx, I like Empire Express the best. Unfortunately they don't seem to be updating any of their track libraries (I emailed them about this). I find it super easy, and the keyboard shortcuts make it really fast to use. I've only been using the trial, because I can't justify the cost of buying it since I don't have anywhere to build a layout yet.

Thanks Drop. I plan to start a small layout in the New Year. It's library does have Peco C55 fo N. Guess I'll have to just hunker down and get to know it. The tool box is very familiar, like P-shop, Illustrator, etc.

    Anyone tried RailModeller? http://www.railmodeller.com

I like it a lot, very easy to use and they update it often. Also a very good library of different track for it.

I never knew about that just downloaded the trial from your link. Thanks.
The only program I've tried using for Mac was Xtracad I think it's called; and not the easiest to me

I have used XTrackCad too. Nice that it is free and OpenSource and cross platform, but it is nowhere near as easy to use.

I actually have them both loaded on my Mac. And only XTrackCad on my windows PC.

I like RailModeller as well. Extensive library of Kato track pieces.
