I recently received this kit as a gift and have a couple questions. First, are there any gotcha's in the assembly process that I should be aware of? Second, I would like to update the color or the building (specially the window panes) and am looking for any ideas or pictures. I plan on using the building as a storage facility - like a Public Storage facility. Thanks Jim
I recently put one together to represent an older factory near the tracks. It turned out ok, I rekon. Here it is unfinished without window glass, details, steps, and roofing: The "gotchas" for me were the fact that you only get 3 window blanks (bricked up windows) for the entire kit! Another might be the fact there there are more than one window style (number of individual panes). I had a bit of trouble getting the basement windows to fit, but that was probably just me. As with all kits, watch to make sure your walls fit well together at the seams. HOWEVER, it is a wonderful kit. I think Atlas did a great job. I will buy another one.
