That SF round house is nice. Great Work.I have been pluging along with my project, I got a part kit today, and partly Built spare parts kit, so I have started on the last 12 or so stalls. I have been cutting down the windows to just the windows themselfs, getting rid of that extra plastic so it will look better on the insdie, but I'm not sure how much you'll be able to se into the round house once its all built. One stall was partly together on the lik I got today, so I'm making that into a 2 stall house for another spot. I pryed all the windows out of it to cut them down too. Bllow are some pics of what I'm doing with the windows.
yep that's right Robert! ;o) Next Trip is in April 2013 I am looking for Pictures about Loco Service aeria. ( Sanding- and Fuelfasility for my next projekt ?
Been in the train room all afternoon working on the Roundhouses, got a bunch of windows trimed. I also got the 2 stall RoundHouse done. I used those multi colored green roof panels as there were, on the 36 stall roundhouse I'll paint them a...ll the same color as some are dark gray, black & these greens ones. you can't see the cut down windows on the inside were the big differance is use less you peek in thru the doors or windows, but it just makes me feel better knowing I did that work.
hey Keith...sent you a PM over a week ago...and am guessing it did not get to you or that you have sold all your roundhouses. I am still interested in some, if you still have them let me know! Thanks much, Gary L Lake Dillensnyder glakedylan@yahoo.com glakedylan@comcast.net

Still have my kits. I will just ask that anyone interested PLEASE bear with me!! I've been having problems with intense pain in my foot again lately. And being on my feet all night does not help! By the time I get home in the morning, I'm usually in enough pain that I can barely walk! So, I get off, and stay off my feet as soon as I get home from work. I will do everything I can, to find kits, pain permitting. Thank you for your patience and understanding, of my situation!
Keith......thank you for your reply.....and prayers for your healing and comfort in pain.......sorry to hear about your foot causing pain.......I hope you can be pain free soon. take best care and get back to me at your convenience when you are able......peace, Gary L Lake Dillensnyder
Keith, I was wonding what was taking so long myself, Pain in the feet not good, I got spikey things in my heals and some time I get to that point myself. Anyway I found a parts kit on ebay so I was not too worryed about it, I'll still take the one we talked about when you can get to it. Speaking of my Roundhouse Project, it sure taking a lot of time to trim the windows down, but inthe end I like the way it looks inside the round house better, even if you can see it that much. Been slowly puttin gthe kits together, got 30 stalls under construtions now, and got 6 more waiting in the wings to be added, still got one unopened kit to go. I have also been working out the turntable, staring with a Kato Bridge, and then using the ideal I got from that old MR mag, workign out nicely, got the bridge part of the table built now, just need to make up my mind if I'm going to leave the roundhouse were it is of build a whole new site for it and the rest of the Locomotive service area, we are leaning to the New site at this time, which will expand the railroad as well. Here are some pics I took today, mostly of the TurnTable Bridge assembly.
Finally got a short video of my Roundhouse. Here is the link. Thanks for all of the inspiration from earlier postings. http://s10.photobucket.com/user/Tra...p4.html?&_suid=136389551042409165726190861425
Got a little more done on the roundhouse, got more windows trimed and started ti install some on the inner walls. also started installthe cross braces/roof windows between the trusses, some fit ok while other are spaced too far apart and will have to be pulled closer together while the glue drys, been using rubber bands for that, works OK I just have to take my time and get it right. I panted all the roof windows red too. Been working on an old locomotive project that got shelved years back, I have a friend that has stated into HO scale so I fogured I'll finsh it for use on his layout.
Got the 2 halfs of the RoundHouse hooked together today, got the outside walls installed and all the truss & cross bracing. I even stole an ideal from another one posted in the thread, and installed a drive thru bay with a set of door on the outside wall. Crews are getting ready to start diggin the Turntable Pit, just waiting for the final OK from HQ.
Been a few months, have not done any thing on the round house, I got a job so all the free time I had to work on this was taken up with the Job. now summer is here and its HOT, so I mite find my self down in the train room if I can get some time to work on the layout or round house. Just an update to keep you posted that you have not missed any thing yet.
