Well I was untill this. I had shut the system down to do some soldering and when it was turned back on one train did not start as it was supposed to. Result ::: Yep , it happens to all of us! Mike
Yuppers...been there done that...lol. I like running 4 trains at once though...its a blast. I had one that stopped at a switch for some reason...and I didnt notice it. I was working at the workbench till I heard the C R U N C H !!
I sometimes don't get to run my layout for long periods of time. When I get back to running stuff I am always a little jumpy because my control skills get rusty. In the first session I seem to almost have at least one oooppps that was close moment!!!
Yea but Jerry... On the layout its usually just your pride that gets hurt. At work...well...lets not even think about it :-( BTW...ay least with DCC you can control the speed on ALL the trains. I ran 2 trains on the same track on DC...once. They where nowhere near the same speed. I had to keep grabbing the fast one and holding it in one place till the slower one was on the other side of the layout. PITA I tell ya !!! I can now run 4 trains at once on 2 mains...no prob. I love DCC
I have run 3 trains on one track on a DC Ntrak layout. Requires judicial use of a yard large enough to hold an entire train on one siding but can be done. Usually I just run two trains on one track. That usually requires two people, one to run the trains and one to answer all the questions from the public. Meanwhile the DCC club guys are running just one train. Their layout employs return loops.
