I just purchased the 130' Walthers DCC turntable to replace my Atlas one, will I still be able to use the Atlas roundhouses with this or does it require a different (Cornerstone) set to match with the diameter? Redoing the whole turntable portion and basically starting over.

    Thanks,

    CBG

as I understand it, the turntable is programmable so it can be used with whatever roundhouse you have. the key is location in terms of how far from the roundhouse it needs to be located. my 130' turntable came with a template for location.

Well stated. My Atlas is back about 3 inches from the table edge.

I just went through this myself. The Atlas roundhouse part number 2843 will not fit with the Walthers 130' turn table. It cannot be installed close enough to the Pit to get the angles correct. It is meant to sit at the edge of the Atlas Turntable and with the larger walthers diameter the Atlas roundhouse would have to be cut off or over hang the edge of the pit for it to work. Had my roundhouse all built and found it did not work. You will have to get the walthers or the old cornerstone roundhouse if using the walthers 130' TT. Good luck

I have a good friend of mine that is in the process of writing an article on how to make the Altas roundhouse work with the Walthers 130ft turntable. Basically Keith needed to heavily modify his Atlas roundhouse to make it work with the Walthers turntable. I dont know how far out the article is, but I am pretty sure it will be in NSR as all the rest of the articles Keith has done on his NP Tacoma division have been featured in NSR magazine. I am sure that is where I will also get my "building Lester depot" published as well.Ryan
