Anyone own any of these? They look pretty good in my opinion. How do they run? A certain store in maryland seems to have a bunch of these on clearance so I was thinking about grabbing some but I wanted to get a report first. Thanks Guys.
both type run good, the blma and exactrails. i seen that deal and if they have them on payday i'll buy a bunch more
I have 24 from the first run which was UP and 6 from this 2nd run. The first run had some real run issues but I was able to fix the issues with a lot of work. The 2nd run (which is the ones you see for sale) ran very good out of the box. Also, the price they are now offered for is tremendous.
I have the 24 CEFX cars and they run great. If I knew they would be so discounted I would of held off........ and got them now!
Suspect the CEFX ones sold relatively poorly on account of it being such a soulless livery; I bet the Tropicana foobies will do much better, and can't wait for the correct models of the modern BNSF and Cryo-Trans cars.
They're proto, it's just a rather uninteresting, logo-less, all white car for a leasing company that people don't connect with. That's my theory, anyways.
Good theory. I like the plain jane approach though and I have a lot of leasers in my fleet of rolling stock.
They're proto but only 29 exist in the real world so seeing one is rare. I've personally never seen one of these CEFX 64' reefers.
I've never seen one of the CEFX but I've seen some of the Cryo cars. I wonder if those 29 cars are ever together or split up into smaller groups or what?
