    Paul:

What is the purpose of the 15 degree crossing / intersecting yard track that does not connect to the layout?

Oh OK now I get it the other 2 did not read my posts when they answered, Yes to make it clear for everyone, the "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" on the plans means do not cross, like the original PLANET OF THE APES' lololol
I wish I could use the whole room, but I like my TV/SURROUND set-up and want to keep the 2 separate.

Kato track lends itself to ultra modern Cityscape layout design, Tokyo comes to mind...go figure. BUT if you wanna see long beautiful passenger trains rolling through the vasts American landscapes with long sweeping curves then you can accomplish that with unitrack also, it just takes a lot more... ummmm, what...creativity? or maybe it's patience when it comes to laying out and re-laying a lot of sectional track. Have fun and keep us posted

    Jerry,
I do not see any extraneous crossings that do not connect to the layout. Where on the layout are you referring to?

The 15 degree crossing is connected to the yard entrance switch, prior to the yard ladder in the attachment I referenced.

Duh! That should have been a double slip but Kato does not have a double slip ...
