HI, I just got my BLMA 89' Pipe Flat cars. All I can say is that Craig has hit another home run with these! I just wish the loads were available at the same time...... Nicely weighted cars, great detailing and smooth rolling. Paint is sharp and well done too. There are only two silly things that could have been done better. First the couplers are a touch long, but that is probably because of the need to negotiate the smaller radii of curvature. Second, the location of the pipe deck support pieces could have been somehow marked on the car or even dimples location the supports. Again these are silly, and I really love these cars! Thanks again Craig!
When TTX converted the F89Js in the early 80's, they got extended cushioning... the long couplers are actually proto... and yes, it does help curve negotiation, but that was honestly just an added benefit. Duly noted, and it's not silly. There is a specific configuration for those supports. I'll see if I can't get something on the website to show how those supports are supposed to be placed. Thanks for your support!
Got my TopGons yesterday. I am a little bit dissappointed, very light weighted and no metal wheels as pictured. In my eyes a clear step backwards comparing to other BLMA releases. Too bad. Frank
Where was the N scale TopGon pictures with metal wheels? You may have been looking at the HO one. Maybe not up to current BLMA standards, but not a step back as nothing has changed from previous releases IFAIK. Jason
These cars were illustrated with metal wheels where I bought my 10 TopGons at woo woo woo¤¤¤¤¤. The details of the cars are very nice, no doubt. Named as N Scale Cars ... http://www.¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤.com/BLMA-N-G-85R-TopGon-Coal-Car-NS-p/blma-10087.htm http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn...v/vspfiles/photos/BLMA-10086-2.jpg?1383657767 Regards Frank Ok, links to online stores are not allowed, I see...
Gotta be careful when someone other than the actual company posts a picture. BLMA's website does say Accumate trucks and couplers with a picture.
No, but it's not hard to figure out where you were linking. I'm surprised they would do that. I don't blame you for having some disappointment. I don't ever remember seeing them use the HO model on anything I've ever looked for. You should let them know. Maybe someone got lazy. Jason
Its not that you cant put etailers link on here...just cant post non advertisers links... http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine...1-ALL-READ-OUR-POLICY-ON-DISCUSSING-RETAILERS
I do not think Craig has produced a single flawed product yet IMHO. I think all of his products are top Notch and we are proud to sell them. I admire his dedication to our hobby. Mike & Robin
