I have a bachmann daylight 4449 railfan with dcc but the problem is that one of the wires on the dcc decoder plug broke and the locomotive does not run but only the headlight comes on. I am trying to look for a solution to fix that problem.

By the way, there is a DCC forum here. Did the wire break on the decoder in the tender or one of the wires on a connector where the loco and tender connect? One solution is a new decoder if that is an issue. Better yet, buy a good brand of decoder from a better company. TCS is a company that is putting out a very good decoder. Wait to you see and hear their WOW sound decoder. Search You Tube. The other solution, buy a new harness from Bachmann. Go to the Bachmann website. There is a parts page where you can order items. Many seem to not be aware that Bachmann has a website with forums, manuals, loco diagrams. DCC documents, etc. Also a couple reps there. Rich
