I would love to see Atlas or FVM do the Fairbanks-Morse H10-44 and/or H12-44s. It would fit on the VO-1000 mechanism, which was improved in later runs. An H16-66 Baby Trainmaster would also be very cool. Agree with Jason that a nice run of F units from Atlas with road specific details would make me happy. IMRC is finally doing the F7 in Milwaukee Black and Orange, but Atlas is my preferred provider of locomotives. Best wishes, Dave
A Heisler, Climax, & 3-4 truck Shay are needed.........WHAT?!?!? We are talking about DIESELS? As STEVE MARTIN says "WELL EXCUSE ME!!!" Good luck people. You know how it goes: You want XYZ engine REAL BAD! You build/kitbash one (taking better part of a month) and Bachmann announces a new model (even has your road) the following week. LOL LOL LOL MODEL RAILROADING IS FUN!!!!
Man, if Atlas made F7s...in Western Pacific...I would happily go broke ordering them! Heck, I'd probably go broke even if they released undecorated F7s!
I'd just be happy to have some of the popular stuff painted for my railroads......there are a zillion SD70ACe's out there, but try to find one for MRL (I've heard FVM MIGHT be doing one when they get tired of all the heritage stuff). Or an E 6/7 in maroon and orange Milw....or an erie built.....at least we finally have the FP7's so at least there's SOMETHING to pull the FVM and Rapido cars. How about some steam locos from anyone for Milw? There might be a few locos I'd buy that aren't being made, but I'd be happy for quite a while with some new paint on some current offerings
I'd love to see a Baldwin S-12. I also agree on the SW-1. Just enough smaller than the later SWs to make it real interesting. Also, there were four of them operating out of my hometown on the Milwaukee Road. And, at least the RoCo GPs were correct, dimension-wise. Doug
True. But newer versions would hopefully come with nice, crisp details, and have a one piece cab assembly. Not the old, famous gap above the battery box style casting. Sometimes it showed, other times it could be made to barely be noticed.
Had some bad experiences have you? Having loved the streamlined passenger era, I'm awash in Fs, Es, PAs, Cs, etc, and am loving it. Mostly all Kato equipment, some LL & Walthers. Would like to see Athearn do more runs of their F45s. Or really, for Athearn to do more of anything locomotive-wise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OK well since we're throwing locomotives willy nilly, Atlas for the love of Model railroading please run swome SP&S N scale Centuries be it 424's, 425's, and C636's please????
All, My initial thought here was.. What should ATLAS’s, KATO’s and BACHMANN NEXT DIESEL locomotives be? I think that EMD F UNITS, GE’S U SERIES, DASH-7, DASH 8 and DASH 9 and from EMD the SD and GP SERIES and the HERITAGE SERIES of locomotives have been done to almost to death.. possibly over done. However, I'll grant that ATLAS diid a BALDWIN not sure which one... Tom
I know Atlas has made mistakes too. It's just not as chronic as Intermountain. And I know Atlas would listen and correct schemes that were shown as being 'off'. With IM you may or may not get a correction. I got one unit corrected that was just lettering but totally obvious, and another unit that has 6-7 mistakes but not as easily recognized so it was not changed at all. For me it's kind of moot anyway as Atlas offers undecorated units so they get a total and complete pass from me. They can screw up as much as they want since they give me the option to do it correctly or at least how I think it should be done. Regardless, Atlas F Units would equal much awesomeness. Jason
