Has anyone received theirs yet? I have seen several other dealers list theirs in stock, but have not seen or heard anything.
I think some list "in stock" in anticipation of a shipment. Distributors may fill orders in the order they were received. Some sources are near a major receiving terminal, whereas others are two sub-terminals away. And so on. Just like Amazon. I sometimes get things the next day; other times I wait a week or more.
If you read the website, you'll find that (of late) George has (also) been working for the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. As a result, it's said that he's at Wig-Wag only 2-4 days out of the month. No doubt this must be negatively affecting the turnaround time for orders. AFAIK, he doesn't have a staff of 77 like that dealer in MD whose name can't be mentioned here.
It does appear things might be complicated there. I do note that no mention is made of delays, but they do mention that pre-orders are filled first (an unfortunate side-effect of forces beyond any retailer's control). For those who have orders in, I would suggest trying direct contact (phone or email)
Hmm. That's not quite where I'd be looking to find it. Home page or at least in larger font, atop the news page might catch the eye.
I tend to agree with you, and being here locally near Wig Wag they are a small organization and missing one employee probably throws a wrench into the entire process. Patience I would say in this case and you will indeed receive what was ordered.
I got a shipping notice email from them yesterday, should be my Q units. I hate to call and ask when a forum can tell you pretty quickly if you are like everyone else or the outlier.
Same here. My supplier is not necessarily popular with the masses, but I always get what I preordered before news of the shipping even hits the streets. Personally, I don't care if my retailer's owner spends 11 months of the year in Antarctica taking photographs of penguins, as long as I get what I pre-ordered promptly. If not, then I find another supplier. Brian: I think you'll be very pleased with the Q units. I even bought an extra B unit just for the heck of it. While way out of line prototypically, it looks real nice between the pair of F2 A units recently released.
