I heard WGH was in Anaheim this Last weekend. These don't usually run at the same time. Was this not true?

Not that I know of? But yes typically they do not run back to back. They are the same show promoters.

I didn't manage to get any but I will ask some of the guys that attended. We of course had that one person who manages to get into the show saleing beanie babys, action figures and cheap junk toys. It's a train show. Of course he was parked next to our table. Alot of people saleing out of their closets. Alot of Lionel and O gauge. Some great deals on O scale if thats your thing. 1 building vs 2 or a larger set of buildings like the past. Old tyco engines and atlas going for top dollar, makes the ebay forums on here look really good.lol.

I don't have any photos. I was there on Friday (set-up day) from about noon to 2:30 p.m. and again on Sunday from about 3 p.m. (show closed at 4 p.m.) until about 5:30 helping a club/vendor. The show was in Building 7 -- an average size building for the L.A. Fairplex. A dozen or so years ago the show was in the much-larger Building 10 (arched roof building to the north of the others). There was a good mix of vendors and layouts. I was checking out the venue to see if my club would want to set up there. The most significant problem was that rain on Saturday evening and Sunday during tear-down leaked in about a dozen places. Luckily, nearly all of the drips were in aisle areas.

There was no WGH show in Anaheim recently nor any in southern California for many years. It's a great show -- I hope that they will return to the area. My club enjoys the Great Train Shows at locations in southern California other than the Fairplex.

WGH normally has all their shows at the beginning of the year. Next year (2016) all the shows are in the mid west during Jan / Feb / Mar. We did get them here in the Bay Area in 2013 and it was great.

WGH was in Sac this year, so I assumed they hit the southland. The guy at Arnies said it was there. He probably got confused on which show was in town and where.

As stated first southland show in ages. Especially at Pomona. Many fond memories on shows of the past. They were fantastic. What killed it was the doll house and cheap toy people.
