What does everyone think about it?

I have an Athearn SW1500 for power. I can always tack on extra track on the ends. I am keeping it small because I have this closet door, also haven't messed with HO for 10-12 years. I've never been at the scenery stage, might not get to it on this one.

Well, are you ready to get started laying track?

I should just do it. I have all the track, just need to cut and glue the ceiling tiles to the door.

I say it's time for the rubber to hit the road. A small module like that will more likely to get to the scenery stage. Then you could build a second one to add to the first and so on and so forth.

Those 2 "lower spurs" were just variations I was testing out.

Hoping you'll be going with what was drawn on the board outline?

I'm going with the very bottom variation for a longer siding. I glued on the ceiling tiles and sealed all the edges with Mod Podge. Almost seems that gluing the ceiling tiles on cancelled out the noise absorption. I'm not sure, never built like this before. I have this roll of vinyl that I picked up at Home Depot which I will fasten down on top of the ceiling tiles. It's spongy and seems to absorb sound better too.

    This is the stuff

I'll update in approx. three weeks when I get home. All I've done is added some length, about 2 inches, and glued on the ceiling tiles. I have 1x2's and 2x2's for legs. I need to solder feeders to the turnouts when I get home.

Looks like you have plenty to have a good variety on your new layout.
