You have got to be kidding me, right?
Used and abused. Power unit nose around the headlight smashed, dinged, nicked....does that look like a crack from the middle top of fireman's window, off behind the horn, and down the back of the engineer's side?
The dummy unit looks like it's cracked on the nose from fireman's window, across the nose, curving down past the number board?
Rusty spots on engine frame. Caboose wheels are dirty..lots of running buildup on treads.
Paint is discoloured and blotchy....touchup? Attempt to clean and polish?
Is this the same guy trying to sell just the rare box with the sharpie lettering for a grand a while back?
    $3950 BIN, really?
    Opinion.

    MTH. 1990-2010.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lionel-S...689?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ee3a3d979

Whole set of three in a box for less than 900..that's 300 per car...and so what if the PO swapped nameplates around?
    NOT a "rare" 1936-1939 original for $3750.
That's the problem with early MTH repro Lionel standard gauge...we knew it was going to be, and it is...moron sellers cannot (or will not) see the difference.
There is no way the nickle plating would be that shiny, even hermetically sealed.

    Opinion.

Well, when he tossed the dart at his magic pricing board, that's where it stuck.

I agree. It should at least be starting to get a light aging patina.

Yes, it's a Milwaukee. No, it's not the rarer orange cab sided unit.
Look at the list of stuff included, see if you can figure out where $3300.00 plus $150.00 to ship comes from.
    1955/56 GP 7 MILWAUKEE ROAD LOCO 2338-15

Shift a decimal point and we're closer.

Again, using the "set-a-price" dart board. Worth something, but not that much. I wish they'd stop abusing the word "set". It's not a set. An accumulation, a lot, a grouping, etc.

I mis-spoke. Isn't worth 1/4 of the asking for a full A-B-A set of 2343's in that condition.
Look at the staining on the sides of the shell, the chips, discoloring or paint touch-ups on the apron, the chip on the roof, and there is something seriously amiss with the horns...but, only one (poor) photo to go buy.
Almost looks like the bottom horizontal side stripe has been re-done with a brush...but again, with one photo, hard to tell for sure. I'd give him twenty bucks (delivered) for something that is a repaint candidate.
Hoping the adage is true..."there's a sucker born every minute", eh?
    Opinion, carefully.

I really considered Standard Gauge, back when McCoy was manufacturing. Beautiful stuff.

Now marked down to only $199.00! That's still about $195.00 too much.
