    Thanks guys. Yes amazing to have such a locomotive as a new build. There were 50 locomotives in this class and saw them all regularly during railfanning in the sixties. All were scrapped, so they built one from scratch, at great cost! Built in 2008.

    In contrast, the other locomotive being use was a Gresley N2 0-6-2T which was built in 1921.

    There are several other new build steam locomotives under way. They say it is more cost effective than restoring hulks. Also you can choose which ones you want, as long as millions can be raised!

    Thank you for those, Alan. What a story that locomotive is, built from scratch. Would that we could get enough interest and $$$$ to accomplish that feat here in the USA.
