We have received a photo of the 6pnl 2 bay and the panel side 2bay hoppers. http://www.bluford-shops.com/ This will have to do until we have them in hand at World HQ. All the best Captain America & Craig Bluford Shops
If these samples pass your inspection, will the production run for the first group of roadnames still be on schedule for release during the second quarter of next year?
Hmmmmmm...I am confused . Just because one manufacture makes a certain item...no other manufacturer can produce the same item...ever ???
No, MTL has not done these cars. Our new USRA hopper is a 30'6" hopper adopted by more than 80 railroads and coal companies. The MTL rib side hopper is a 33' car used by DL&W, GM&O, N&W, RI, Southern, VGN and a few others. The new Bluford Panel Side car is 30'6" long like the USRA. These were the result of rebuilds of the USRA car using pressed steel panels that were adopted by a number of roads. The MTL panel side hopper is a 33' car built by and for Wabash (Wabash had the 30'6" panel side cars as well and was pleased enough with them that they later built the 33' version.) Hope that clears it up. Craig www.bluford-shops.com
I can't reserve these sadly. I'm still paying off the Rapido reefers I had reserved and I also have Fox Valley passenger cars and a locomotive reserved. Hopefully there will be some spares.... Randy
Randy most of our distributors order more than pre-ordered.so you still may be able to get your cars. Steve
I just checked with the wife. Apparently I was wrong (again). She informed me that indeed I do indeed have too many hoppers along with too many boxcars, gons. flatcars, covered hoppers, etc. It's looking like another shirt for Christmas holiday.

What RR had the letter 'M' for reporting marks? I was think either the Montour or the Monongahela but their marks are MTR and MGA respectively. I can't find a RR with reporting marks consisting of the single letter 'M'.
Montour. They later changed it to MTR (I believe after the AAR began to discourage single letter reporting marks.)
