Most states have a highways website now. I found all my striping info by Googling. States offer this info for historians and modelers.
Personally I hate using plastic for protection for my trains. Are you protecting them from little hands or what? If you are wanting to stop trains...

Most of the above will do 15" curves. I try never to go under 15" just because it looks better. Use that 15" track as a template if you use flex...
I use Scenic Cement spray right out of the bottle for years. No issues.
You could also buy some Woodland Scenics 'Earth and Green' paint and mix the two into a color you want. It won't look phony and should look pretty...
