It's that time of year again. Galesburg RR Days is coming up this weekend and if you live in Illinois or in a nearby state, you should come on out and see it. There are many things to do and see this weekend. Both model and prototype railroading is showcased this weekend. We have anew director of the model railroad show and he has been hard at work bringing in not only great vendors but new displays, something that has been lacking of late. I personally know of two new displays, one 2-rail O scale and one N scale. There will be NTrak, T-Trak, HO, O and much more as well as a die-cast car/truck/tractor show. Check out the downtown with a free bus that leaves the college train show every half hour. We'll be lucky enough to have General Electric downtown with one of the newest BNSF engines as well as Levitation! If you love Civil War era steam, you will not want to miss this. There is also a limited, first come-first tour of the BNSF yard and facilities. If your a train junkie, you'll want to come and see all there is to see. Here is a link to the web page: http://www.galesburgrailroaddays.org/ Hope to see you there!
Also for those who are interested, I have updated my Blog entry on Galesburg RR Days, fixed the links and added some things. Check it out if you are thinking about coming: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine...rg-Here-is-your-information!-UPDATED-FOR-2015!
Jim, Have a great time! Galesburg is on my train bucket list - but my oldest graduates high school this weekend, so I'll be focused elsewhere.
