"looking good for their age" does not command that price for junk MPC with the apron snapped off and not included.
Fifteen, shipped, is more like it....for parts.
"I just don't know anything about the item,", good out, "SINCE THIS IS UNTESTED, IT IS SOLD FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION...WITH ANY LUCK, THIS MIGHT STILL BE IN RUNNING CONDITION"
Yet you've god a bunch of that group born every minute driving it up to 47 so far.

" IT IS SOLD FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION.." Yup. Should be priced that way, as the A unit shell is worthless. Broken off in that fashion tells me something rough happened.

I am not sure I understand a #2 chassis. Is that some kind of grading? Never saw them referred to in that way.
Now, this is for a 2055. BIN of 57, plus 9 to ship. Okay, that's 66. How many COMPLETE 2055 (series) engines WITH tenders can you find for that or cheaper? Not counting free.

Oh, and they conveniently removed siderods, crankpin bolts,, main rods, eccentric rods, entire valve gear, but they left pistons (upside down, no less) and one intact crosshead guide...and oh, joy, a light bulb. Even has black tape wrapped on the wires. Bonus!
Sure looks like some of those drivers don't line up any more. Which means someone has had them off, since it's spur gear to all the drivers.

Five bucks for the e-unit, shipped. The rest goes in the junk shelf pile.

    Geez.

    Opinion.

Oh, my. An early Baldwin Disc chassis. NO e-unit. NO armature. NO brushplate. No pickup rollers. No opposite side armature support plate. No rods, No crankpin bolts.
I used to have a stack of these picked over for parts. Even the field looks black.
    What are you buying?
    Leftover parts junk.
Fifteen opening, seven to ship, and I wouldn't give fifty cents for that at a train show with NO shipping.
Seller has a pile of them, various locos.
    Garbage.

Yup. And hoping to increase "profits" by passing along junk to some unsuspecting sucker.
You wonder why the unit is stripped down.....axle bearings shot? Field windings burned out (non-repairable by even skilled hobbyists...not worth the effort to drill out the rivets, pull the field, unwind and count the turns, find proper wire, re-wind and figure out how to re-assemble with rivetted ends of standoffs now gone), axles bent..who knows...and they ain't gonna tell anyone.
Problem with all of this is folks keep buying, thinking they are "winning". As far as I am concerned, anyone who buys part of a separated loco and tender is just enabling the idiots. They came as a set, you don't break them up to increase "profits". I see locos alone starting bid of more than the loco and tender are worth...and suckers just keep stepping up to the plate.
    Rant mode temporarily off.
    Opinion.
