Those Z scale guys are having a ton of fun sharing what they have on their workbench. I'm surprised an N scale version of "What's on your workbench?" hasn't popped up before (I haven't been able to fine one via search in any case).

So N scalers, whats on your workbench? Please include pictures.

I just finished this scratchbuilt mill based on a template I found online.

Along with the mill, I've built a 35' box car cover for the Kato 11-105 power chassis.

Next comes wire details, then paint.

Those are my current projects, what are yours? [IMG]
    Include pictures.

I'm doing two ATSF F45's circa '92-'93. Just finishing up the decaling. Some in-progress shots can be seen in my PhotoBucket album. Link below. I'll get pics posted when they're done. Probably tomorrow.

We've had these threads before. The default in the search engine is "One Year." If you move it to "Any Time" you may find older posts. I didn't realize this for a very long time, so I was always missing older posts, even by me.

    Right now?

My keyboard....mouse...cup of coffee...smokes. Years ago I was given an executive desk. This beast measure 3 foot deep X 6 foot long. I have my PC on a shelf which allows me to slide the keyboard amd mouse under the monitor and out of the way. This gives me some useful area for a 'workbench' when working on my trains.

Yesterday for instance....I did the redo on the truck mounted to body mounted couplers (see the thread on that subject). Of course I have to make sure the 'desk/workbench' is cleaned off when done...or I am trying to work a keyboard and mouse in with the 'debris' thats always left on a workbench.

I do 95% of my work on a plastic tray...the kind you see at fast food places like McDonalds....shhhhhhhhhhhhhh. My toolbox is easily accessable in the cabnet next to the desk.

So in response...at this moment... my messy 'workbench' is now my somewhat clean 'desk'.

Okay, a little something for the Milwaukee Road fans. If your not, you may not know what this thing is going to be.

It's a MR ribbed side branchline baggage/ coach. Kind of like the Hiawatha all rolled into one car!

Check out the prototype at http://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/milw2716.jpg

It started out as a Athearn Pfaudler Milk car that I stretched and stuck scratchbuilt sides and a new new roof on. Steps are from a caboose I had in the junk box. I used the milk car because the trucks seem right on and the roof contour was kind of close.

A pair of resin Jordan Spreaders to be turned into SP snow fighters, the parts for UP/SP GP38s to go along with the spreaders, and an 1/144 S-3B turning it into an ES-3A (my airplane) that may or may not end up on the layout somewhere. It's all sharing desk space with pistol reloading supplies and equipment and computer parts.

The layout is covered with cars and engines that need weathering and buildings that need painting.

Three cars that I purchased on gomotorbids.com. All have Rapdio couplers waiting for MT trucks to be installed, and one is a kit that needs to be assembled.

Another 4' of layout. I'm building it in the modular stylings of David Barrow. The cork area will be a rural mill, based off one in North Branch, MN. I'm going to use the Walthers Central Gas Supply kit any build up from there.

Projects I keep saying I will get done but new projects arise. As well as laptop, printer, chips, lamp, etc.
Kind of OCD with starting new projects and never finishing them...:tb-confused:

I'm with ya on that one! I still have a half detailed GP30 from over a year sitting on the bench.
I'm also still trying to find the time to finish bending some handrails on this Tunnel Motor, along with all the other details that need to be added:

Other than that, I've been in the layout room working on stuff. Kinda goes back and fourth, layout then workbench, back to layout....:tb-confused:

Can't see it...lol... I'm sorting through stuff to liquidate right now. Plus figuring out what projects I've started and need finishing. Plus not to mention an 8' module that needs to get started.
