Yep, each Vat is separate, as is the roof and each support section.

Mark. Since the car is seperate parts. I'm gussing there is a way to add weight?

How about narrower stirrups? Those look a little wide to me. But I'm in for a couple. I've got plans for a pickle plant.

    Mark,

Who do I contact to see if they can create the pickle car in Z scale?

    Yours,

The above photo was really Mark's sample coach (and taken with his iPhone) on my layout

Here's my stage, finally painted (almost - still need to add details)

Nice looking pre-production. I am interested in the stagecoach and ventilated box car. On the stage coach: will the purchaser need to make his own tracer? The question is more out of curiosity, than anything, as making a tracer is no big deal; I had to do that with some of my fire equipment. I also made some crude tackle for the horsies. Bachmann and a few others sell horsies, so it would be no big deal one way or the other if the kits came with them, or not.

What are the approximate years for the use of the pickle car? When did they first appear and when did they find the scrapyard?

As I have a nineteenth century pike, I am always interested in product for that era.

Pickle cars showed up like that around the 30's. Alot were scrapped in the 60-70's.

Here's a post about cleaning and painting in the 3d Printing for Scale Models group.
Are you talking about the post that would go between the horse team for the harness? Is so, no that part is not included in the print. A small bit of styrene or brass rod would do the trick though.

I've yet to find horses for my own Stagecoaches yet. The horses in Rick's photo are from Musket Miniatures and would likely be my first choice. Preiser has some nicer horses for a pretty penny, however they have saddles or riders so would need some modification. It might even be possible to have a horse team 3d printed as well!

Yep, some may have showed up as early as the 20's even and lasted into the 70's.
