What is the smallest N guage figure 8 I can make using Kato unitrack?

What size curve tracks will I need?
    How many will I need?

What size straight tracks will I need?
    How many will I need?

    What else will I need?

    Thank you.

There is a basic figure 8 track plan on the Kato website that uses 9 3/4 inch radius curves and 90 degree crossing. You could probably build a smaller one using a 7 5/16 degree right or left hand crossing and you might have to cut some lengths of track to fit.

Kato sells a track planning template that might be a good investment.

Okay I found that. Do you know what the lenght and width are in inches if I use that layout?
I know I can figure it out by the size of the tracks, but I was just looking for a ball park figure.

If those are one foot squares, it appears to be 3 1/2 feet by 3 1/2 feet.

I don't have the template for XtrkCad, but Kato now has an 8.5 in radius curve. I am sure you could make your figure 8 even smaller, but you might be limited on your running stock.

    Good Luck
