Not new models but a new camera and software. This is my first try on the Helicon Focus software and I am already hooked. Here is one of the 11 pictures I had to take to get the amazing result with Helicon Focus. After just clicking "run" this is the result. Now I just need some nice scenery to get even better pictures.
My modelling this weekend has been limited to some Branchline reefers, all in 1930s schemes. They are not really suited to the 1950s, but I like the OTT colourschemes. Jon
Cat Mountain and Santa Fe This is a picture of David Barrow's HO scale Cat Mountain and Santa Fe model railroad near Austin, Texas. We were there for an operating session several years ago. I am not sure that this particular version of the layout is still in place. I believe the back drop was painted by David's wife. None of the ballast or gravel is glued in place; all of the track is handlaid. (Or was that the previous layout?) There is a real place near Austin called, "Cat Mountain." This is my N scale CMSF boxcar.
Flash, thx for the pics of David Barrow's old Cat Mtn and Santa Fe layout. I believe David dismantled this layout couple of years ago, and today he has moved forward to a major switching district layout. Flash, if you have any more photos of David Barrow's old layout, would you consider posting or sharing them?
Very nice stuff everyone... Got around to photographing Precision Craft Models new n-scale CB&Q E7 units with DCC and sound...
