And for only $5.74 to your door is this coupler. Don't fret if you miss it; Seller has more. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Arnold-Rapi...165612?hash=item2cb4d121ec:g:GI0AAOSwOVpXTlht
Good one Box! Maybe they should say "new best n scale coupler ever made and a rare find". Operationally that would not be a lie, aesthetically, YUCK. Carl
The hobbyshop that made them together with Rapido, has still dozens of that car.... http://prairieshadows.com/catalog/product/n-canadian-national-pointe-st-charles-van/41 Have some people no shame at all? Worth thousands of dollars..... Tsss.......
I heard of the old adage of "buying a pig in a poke" but in this case there is no pig, just the poke. http://www.ebay.com/itm/35-MICRO-TR...103295?hash=item33c4face7f:g:KJYAAOSwJ7RYVEly
I'm laughing cynically at this listing, right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-SCALE-KATO...kAAOSwo4pYUIw3 It's an absurd price for one locomotive, but he has the nerve to sell under the name BIG DISCOUNT TRAINS. This one definitely fits in the category of 'On Sale, now, for twice the regular price'.
I'm sorry for being new and clueless to all this, but where would one buy anything at half the price? Not that I would pay 400CAD for the one above on fleabay, but even at my LHS I believe some items are being passed as new, while they are probably used so even 200CAD seems too high for that locomotive in N scale (it's a SD-40 for crying out loud, without DCC most likely).
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Con-Cor-000...169854?hash=item43fbbb5ffe:g:kgIAAOSwUKxYZdWW starting at $0.99 and ending on 1/5/2017 at 10:33 pm compared to http://www.ebay.com/itm/Con-Cor-N-S...089138?hash=item5d6c6dbaf2:g:TtgAAOSwmtJXWhz8 starting at $374.95 and ending 1/5/2017 at 10:32 pm.
Ah I see, I thought that avoiding ebay was the real trick. To be honest, that first item will end up in a bidding war and probably close to the second one at $374, but let's see what happens.
Well, there is a third one "in the bidding" starting $275 and ending at 7:15 pm on the very same day, so that one starting at $0.99 needs to get up to $275 by 7:15 and over $374 well before its final second, or those other two will be relisting their "rare" "limited edition" items again. To me, the humor in this is the timing that has occurred, apparently at random, and the obvious inconsistency of 3 identical "rare" items being up for bid on the same day at greatly different starting prices. As you said, "we shall see." So far, the item that started at $0.99 is up to $112.50 on 3 bidders, with 4 days to go.
Really?! Atlas FM C-Liners? "Rare"? $125? Really?! http://www.ebay.com/itm/112255551394?redirect=mobile
I'm surprised that a number of Sellers continue forth with using the word RARE or even L@@K in their descriptions. It's plain goofy and it serves to devalue the Seller's credibility. If they have to resort to deception to sell, I figure they're dishonest or perhaps uninformed, neither of which contributes to a square deal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-MKT-At...573230?hash=item1a22a7d1ae:g:NRkAAOSwuWVWFGFQ http://www.ebay.com/itm/Con-Cor-N-S...550648?hash=item237a782978:g:58UAAOSw44BYNKec http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kadee-Micro...hash=item2eb4ec4eac:m:mbna5aNkGXQSlK7Kmz3jYTA
