    Thanks Jim...:)

Doing our first magazine article was a fun project. Walt Huston actually walked me through the do's and donts which was great. I talked to Pam yesterday and she would welcome N Scale articles from anyone. I plan to do another soon. Like I said...it was great fun...and educational. (y)

BTW...thank you again for the tip to contact Walt from the get go (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Hi George, I just received my March / April N scale magazine in the mail today and saw a familiar railroad name. Congratulations on the article and the photo's look great (y) Reading through your biography side bar, I see we have a couple of things in common. First and foremost, N scale model railroading and Like you, I drove tractor trailer trucks over the road when I got out of the USAF in 1983. I spent 10 years over the road and another 12 years driving local. After 22 years, I had enough and was lucky to land a job on the railroad. That USAF training paid off with my current position :) I do maintain my CDL, just in case of cut backs, but I'm hoping I'll never have to use it again. What the heck, I've had my tractor trailer license for 34 years now, what's a few more years :ROFLMAO:

    Thanks Rich....

THERR RV has been a lot of work....but to be honest...its been more fun for us in the long run !!

I hear ya on the driving. I drove in every state but Alaska and Hawaii !! Disablity forced me to give up my CDL 12 years ago :(. I still have it in my desk drawer ! I told DMV I had lost it ! ;)

George, Just recieved my issue yesterday. Had a chance to glance at the article last night before snooze time. It looks like it came out really well, and I am looking forward to reading it!

Now, if we could just get you running a steam excursion........

    Thanks Alan....:D

THE Wife would love steam for her excursion train. The 4-8-4 I got form Backmann in exchange for one that was DOA and is now at THE Train Museum was supposed to be just that. A couple problems. First: IT sparked so bad up by the pilot wheels when running on DC...I thought it was going to set fire to the weeds alongside the tracks !!;) Second: from everything I read...it is/would be a bear to convert to DCC !! So it sets outside at THE Museum where the kids can climb all over it while their parents look on in total fear of them falling off ! ;):p

And the K4s or the M1 are both excellent right out of the box! Pennsy, but hey, rule #1 applies! :)

George, I'm sure it's in here, but I can't find it in Tapatalk. Can you repost a recent picture, and your track plan? Thanks

    Thanxs Ken...

The priority from the start was to get track laid and trains running. Scenery is getting done when I feel like it...lol.

Great work George and Jean... I just read the article on N Scale magazine and was impressed with your layout and it's 'mobile' home.
