I wanted one of the Mi-jack container canes a while back and though you were still making them. But found that you wasn't so I took on my self to 3D print one. I know how you feel about 3D printing but when you don't have all the money in the world to do thing or the right experience you do what you can I did the Mi-Jack and the Taylor reach truck in 3D printed and I feel they turned out fairly good for what I needed not in any contest or business doing them. I'm not a professional designer. SO I think they came out well. but not like toy where you can play with them. I have had these for about three years now and still all in one piece! nothing broken and have been moved around a lot. I might not be as good as Stony but I do my best for an old man not too old but old enough! My Taylor reach truck which I have two types one for aluminum coils to load coil cars the other containers. It has a movable boom and will hold a 53' container in the container clamp! as you can see in one drawing. I have been trying to do all sorts of project with different types of railroad cars some really strange! Things I find interesting . I also wish I had some of these people living next door! these are all Z scale!! I wish you still did them! I would like to have one of the Mi-Jack lifts! lighted! they were cool looking!

2009 Ztrack exclusive release of Harald Freudenreich's 56' TTX Wellcars.

Photos of this wellcar model can be seen in the 2009 Ztrack magazines.

This wellcar was built to carry the 28' containers for UPS. No actual 28' containers have ever been mass produced in Z scale but an etched version was included with the wellcar release by Ztrack.

Although the release of the well car was limited, some excess etchings, castings and machined parts were left over and after enquiry I was able to pick up a few in kit form back in 2009. One such kit can be currently found in the Trainboard Swap Meet

@HoboTim thought I'd check in and see if there has been any progress with the 57ft spine cars v2.0, or anything else you got up your sleeve.;)

I did take some pics of the AZL Maxi-I's...

    Test Etches of: 40' Gunderson [48' to 40' Rebuild], 40' Thrall/NSC [48' to 40' Rebuild], 53' Gunderson AP, & 53' Gunderson [single]

Reading into the above list of items is not recommended. The first two words tell all! Test Etches!
Some are difficult to bend to exacts and the others are very difficult to bend to exacts.

As for the 57' AP Spine Cars v2.0, I need to consult with someone who is an ACE with 3D CAD. Anyone in the know of 3D CAD, please feel free to contact me! No, seriously, contact me!

    Questions?

    Hobo Tim,
Great parts and cool processes! Great models as well!
Are you still using the Nalgene bottle? I am interested in etching, and have read some of your threads and posts.
I don't want to hijack your thread, so if you want you can message me.
