The DelPrado shell and GG1 chassis conversion has been around a long time now. There was even an article in RMC, many long year ago.
There's someone else on Shapeways who makes Little Joe shells, with instructions on how to convert a Kato GG1 Chassis (with some spart parts) to a suitable Little Joe Chassis. It's very involved, but Milwaukee modelers might find it worthwhile; I hear the stock brass models hardly run.
Mine was "OK". There was a "traction" booster kit made by a major east coast N supplier, long ago. (Over thirty five years now!) Member u18b, here, did a series in a topic about upgrading the Bipolar chassis.
If we're talking about the brass Bi-Polars, I also have one. I think I lucked out on it. It appears to run nice and smoothly, and there has been nothing to indicate so far that the motors are not well matched for speed. I have read reviews about the brass Little Joes that indicated they were hit and miss, but could be upgraded to become smooth runners. I know someone on here was making a 3D shell to fit the SD90MAC chassis, with a matching frame, but it required a fourth axle added in to make the correct trucks, and also to have the wheels for the pilot trucks added in. If there was a way to use the 3D shells on a Kato GG1 chassis, that would be quite interesting, but you would quickly run in to the issue of the trucks not matching.
There is no way this guy has it in hand. I know because I haven't gotten mine yet. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Trainworx-...d=202085400982&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
If so, I would believe this is one of many speculative sellers there. They list stuff, before ever even receiving anything.
The fine print does say that delivery is estimated between Mon. Nov. 6 and Wed. Nov. 15 and that this item has an extended handling time and a delivery estimate greater than 11 business days.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/CT-Elektro...340049?hash=item440ea30211:g:WEAAAOSwY~1Z7QF3 A "not working in any way" decoder for "parts or repair" ?!!! Can't wait to see the bid count on this one.
There are many people who would consider it a selling point that the smoke has been let out of it. Leave it to train buffs to prefer their electronics with the smoke still inside!
OK. This one needs to get an award. They are selling what might be a fried decoder? SMH, SMH, SMH....
...$15 shipping!!! Min bid of $5 for a fried, unheard brand busted decoder. For that same $20 I can usually buy a working decoder (that has non-working sounds as well). And the bonus is the website is in German so you can't really find anything out about it (I know about Google translate, but why bother?).
It's not train related, but, I collect anime figures and Elfen Lied is one of my favorites but this is ridiculous! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Elfen-Lied-Dream-Tech-LUCY-NYU-1-8-Scale-Figure-Doll-Wave-Super-Rare/282673821684?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=41376&meid=d5d85bd2459248a980ac42304c654545&pid=100033&rk=1&rkt=2&sd=282673821684&_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042 There is NO WAY this figure is worth $1000!
It's an older anime and unfortunately, this is the only one listed for sale. There have been figures I wanted to get to round off parts of my collection, and I usually just wait until they're re-released. then I get them at the "normal" price. It's kind of like buying trains! lol
