Not actually funny, but still worthy of note: https://www.ebay.com/itm/WALTHERS-C...Yd08us9ffFnXZTLqxwCbY%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc The starting price for this was already high, and it still had two bidders battling it out, ending at $212 for a Walthers Cornerstone kit. Well, actually a "complex." Maybe this sort of sale will convince Walthers to get back into the larger N scale buildings?
I'll see that and raise you... about $140... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Walthers-C...d=172861800665&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850
"Big Discount"?!? MSRP is $33.90. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MICRO-TRAI...d=171749557027&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982
What's amusing is that the first page of google search results lists a shop with three of those cars available in stock - and without the "big discount" upcharge.
Looks like a bunch of old Bachman stuff? For the cost, I don’t think so! https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Co...061459?hash=item3d4e622b13:g:2y4AAOSwUaNZxaN0 Not exactly sure WHAT’S for sale? The dog, the bone, or something else?? https://www.ebay.com/itm/This-is-a-...015562?hash=item3d4e6177ca:g:oyQAAOSwi7RZJHT2
...and in the description it says that both are N scale. $70 for an N scale dog and bone seems rather expensive to me...
On the first: Yeah, I don't think that pile of old Bachmann is worth anywhere near $470; he probably realizes it too, and the price is high over the SHEER QUANTITY. I mean, that is a lot of trains/track/accessories. For the second: That listing is evidently intended as a way to sell a particular item to a particular customer, who has probably been sent a link to that listing. The dog/bone pic is just a placeholder so no one sees what's being sold. Probably a way to skirt eBay rules about making sales outside of eBay. Not sure why it's listed as N scale...
Found this amusing, but there are alot on epay I find funny... https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-Ung...%3A9dbf3c0015f0a99b838d8d2ffffd111b%7Ciid%3A1
Nope. Not for one second. I am pretty confident of my guesstamation of how they WILL package it. And trust me if they do use the old newspaper puffball method, or even packing peanuts, gently placed in a box, with the majority of stuff with no cases or packaging it isn't going to be pretty. Oh the things I've seen working in the transportation industry.
This just seems funny to me. Or would it be ironic? I don't know the word or phrase to describe it. Mike Sabia selling a Mike Sabia truck for $250 Buy It Now. He's a member here, yes? I'm probably playing into his plan to get into this thread! Well done https://www.ebay.com/itm/TRAINWORX-KENWORTH-W-900-AERODYNE-MIKE-SABIA/122801284812
I find it hard to criticize this guy. He has a talent not many people do. If you watch the N Scale FB Groups there aren’t many people out there who can build buildings at what I would call a decent level. He sold almost everything you showed at a good price. It is a price we would pay? No. But apparently the market was favorable to his work. His customers seem happy. Nothing to see here.
I'm guessing because it's the original instead of the identical repop, lol https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/332294508059 Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
There is always someone listing 'stuff' at crazy prices. There are also people who will pay crazy prices for 'stuff' We have all seen people pay 100's for something most of us won't give a dollar for. It's all part of "More eBay Humor"....or there would be no reason to have this thread...JMO
From the same seller. MDC (now Athearn) coach shell ONLY...and he's sold 3 of 6. Didn't they just announce that they are rerunning these?: https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Athearn-...d=332294508059&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982
