Yep! At the time, Rapido couplers were the common standard and Kadee's couplers in N were indeed something new and unusual. I started in N around the same time as you and didn't begin to convert my cars to Kadee until the mid-to-late 1980s. It was expensive, so I had a lot of "compromise cars" with a Rapido on one end a Kadee on the other. I still have a few.
Well... those MicroTrains FT sets might be hard to find in mint condition... so figure they could be the lynchpin to having such a passenger consist. However, FT units might not be typical passenger power for B&O so it would be an impulse buy for an afficionado of eastern passenger consists. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

He amended his description: SORRY ABOUT THE CRAZY PRICE I don't know what new/used track is worth. So best make me an offer and we will go from there. I know I have over $500 in this, but I know I wont get that for all of this. I model G scale, and my grandson wanted to get into N scale so I bought all of this track, and switches brand new, a little over 2 months ago. Includes all you see plus a couple more passenger cars not photo'd. There is no power supply. We ran it for about 15 minutes, and then he had to go home. I covered it to protect it from the dust, and he has never showed any more interest in it so I am now selling it. I hope my loss will be someone's gain. So make me an offer. Does not include foam board Engines where brand new cars where used FREE SHIPPING to lower USA
And the worst part of the listing is that his grandson lost interest in model railroading. Considering that this is Kato merchandise... it would not be because the product was not good. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
Make best offer though. Shame about the grandson but if he isn't visiting, is that his fault? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
While the track is Kato, the old-time passenger train surely isn't. Can't tell about the F-unit. Maybe the problem was that the grandson didn't like being out in the shed or garage. Either that or the controller didn't have any buttons to let you shoot at something and there was no way to keep score.
BINGO!!!... the desensitizing of the human mind... kill something oe someone and win at it. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
Everything (except one?) this guy is selling is RARE! Classic https://www.ebay.com/sch/greatvintage00/m.html
Classic over use of the word "rare" in conjunction with inflated prices. I wish that was more rare......
It appears a few may be custom paints. That always costs more for the initial owner. But reselling, new or used? While most of us would like to recover initial investment, however, any sale is more likely to return less money than originally invested.
Someone would need parts pretty bad to pay $39.00 for a broke engine https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-PA...131232?hash=item2f104fd8e0:g:3o0AAOSwIJlaJu6D
www.ebay.com/itmATLAS-Penn-Central-2498-Locomotive-N-Scale Train inside shows no wear. I do not see any cab roof.
Next to Bigfoot, the rarest photo ever. A diesel successfully converted to a 4-8-4.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Santa-Fe-E...253248?hash=item25e778f280:g:CHoAAOSw1cNZ~1sp
I mean, to be fair, if you look on the back it specifies the engine was retired when the Santa Fe CONVERTED to DIESEL. That being said, I would think it's pretty obvious even to non-train people that the engine itself wasn't converted to diesel...
