Can you post a closer picture of the green extended vision Burlington northern caboose? My boyfriend saw it and got excited. He's been looking for that particular one in O scale

Since Junior and I both model N I would expect that it's the same model as mine made by Atlas. Atlas does make an O scale version as well.

Here you go Rachel. I really like this one too and as Brad already said, it is an Atlas Standard Cupola N scale.

This is one is my favorite - Centralia Car Shops ATSF CE-1 Sealed Cupola Windows. The detail on this model is amazing.

The only caboose I own. It is the first official commemorative car for T-TRAK by Kato. Unfortunately they are no longer available for sale.

Rachel, thanks for getting this discussion going and thanks to the rest for sharing. I decided to go and explore eBay and found it much nicer. Also I came across a smaller caboose that I wanted so, come 9 Feb. I will have one. It's a small wooden one (20'?) with only two axles that should go well with my small steam engines. I still want a full size one from the steam ara and the little bitty bobber.
If I could only get them with the logo in my avatar. I'll share some photos if I can figure out how to do that.

With a desktop publishing program and white decal paper and decal sealer, you could have as many as you want.
You can get the paper at Hobby Lobby and I believe the sealer. They also have a kit from Testors you can purchase. I use Microsoft Publisher to make the graphics. Size them and print them out on my inkjet printer.

    Go for it!

Again not what some folks like to see, but the sides of this caboose are made from pictures, I did add some of my own decals but it represents the caboose, or in this and many other cases, a "shoving platform". :)

I'm really into background stories and it being personal. I'm very sentimental and my little layout will have my own details lol I love that caboose. And knowing it still runs is awesome. I love the graffiti details

Thanks for the advice but you would have to advise a different publisher. I have been "upgraded" to Windows 10 but still have Office 2010 standard. I would need to upgrade to the rather problematic Office Professional 2016 for PCs. What would that cost and where would I get the support?

Thanks for the offer but, the only help I'm in need of is to find a replacement for Photo Bucket and their $400 yearly FEE. And to figure out why Windows 10 stopped accepting my three cameras.

You might look at Paint, I believe it can work with JPEG files as well. You could most likely do it with Word as well.
You set your paper size and you can size JPEGs and other graphics files as you wish.

I used publisher because I could tell it what size my paper was. I could set the graphic anywhere on that page where I wanted. I would print out a test copy on normal 8.5 x 11 paper. It would also print cut lines on the test paper. I would use two-sided tape to line up the decal paper on the test sheet and use it as a carrier for printing the decals.

Once you got the hang of it, it was pretty easy to do.

Great looking caboose Tom! I’m going to have to post mine now. All 3 of them!!! Modeling modern, don’t have many chances to use them.

I did finish a modernized MOPAC caboose last night.

KCS uses this ex-Mid-South, ex-IC for back-up moves in the five-mile long dead-end Industrial Park off its Gulfport (MS) Branch. This would be a fun one to model, but wide-visions didn't show up until 20+ years after my cut-off date.

Apparently KCS doesn't have a problem with graffiti, since it helps cover the Mid-South logo.

I had a dream about this last night and remember a birthday present (23 Nov.). It was suppose to go around the base of the Christmas Tree but just not did fit.

So yes I do have a caboose. Actually two but, I can only risk showing this one.

I am surprised there aren't more photos posted. You know how we like photos.

Anyway, Here is one of three Athearn bay windows I scored before the shop owner even opened the box to stock his shelves. The scene is on an N scale module. Please excuse the temporary wire tree armatures.

The "images" in my posting are from this board "Railimages". I used to add links from Photobucket but now that would cost me $400 a year to do so. I am still looking for another photo board that works like Photobucket used to.

They did not load for me. I get a message that IP can not be found. Strange, I use Railimages for my photos and have not experienced any problem. At any rate I went to Railimages and see that you just posted there and they are cool.
