Great video!!! It really shows switching is a real possibility in Z scale! LOVE the switcher. Also, the weathering on the cars is outstanding!! Rob
Thank you for the kind words! I have to give Zfrank credit for proving that switching is possible in Z scale. His work definitely inspired my layout.
The truck wiring (black THICK wire) should create some serious tracking issues. Use typical #38 (o.10mm) or #40 (o.08mm) decoder wire. TCS has the minimal thickness insulation and most flexible wire.
Good to read that my Z scale switching has inspired other Z scales Verstuurd vanaf mijn ANE-LX1 met Tapatalk

I have made the SW1200 frame available in my Shapeways shop for those that don't need/want the shell. here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/JRYQ5MFS2/z-scale-generic-motorized-frame I can offer different length versions of the frame as a variant to this product. Let me know how many scale feet you want the trucks to be separated and I will make a new variant. I am considering a dual motor version of the frame if there is demand for it. Coming soon, CN style shell. Coming October/November SW1500. It's fully assembled and running but there is still tons of work to do before it is ready.
I'm looking forward to the CN unit, now I won't have to scratch build the number boards and exhausts. Thank you for doing this. How soon before it's available?
Oh, wow!! Getting even better!! I've dreamed of owning a Milwaukee Road MP15AC in Z for awhile, maybe getting closer to my dream!!
The CN style shell is available today! I also made the Flexicoil style trucks available, too. Shell and frame: here Flexicoil trucks: here
@Rudy, great new announcements! All, Regarding decals, I have had contact with Sasha at CMR Products, after Rudy gave the link to their website. They do a lot of z scale decals. No SW1200 yet… The are open to suggestions and are willing to do Conrail SW1200 - just contact them thru the site or via custom@cmrproducts.com Alas, they have no UP licence and are not allowed to do SP. So… anyone any suggestions for me regarding decals for SP? Matt
