Hello, I'm new to Trainboard, would love to see The Western & Atlantic in Z scale, The General in particular. Also, would love to see some functioning trolleys in Z.

Welcome to Trainboard Raytl. It would be nice to run trolleys, but the only ones I know are the ones made by Anime and are not powered.

Right now, I would like a Frisco caboose to go with my 2 locomotives, 2 boxcars, and six hoppers. :)

Thanks, John! About the closest thing I've seen are the railbuses by marklin.

    I'm with you Charlie!

And to double down on my previous post, I really want a caboose now that Micro-Trains is lengthening my train with two more boxcars. What the heck, why not a Frisco runner pack too? (Tank cars please.) :notworthy:

I'm into the Z also and prefer the CSX, N&S. Like to see a real SW Engine in Z scale

If I could get this loco in this scheme, I would be in heaven!!! Would be great to have an F-M H10-44 in Z-scale as the first mass produced switcher for our scale!!

I started this today don't have a chassis for it but use the measurements from the rail site this one is 48ft 10 inches long and 10ft 2 inch wide. still needs some work but it's in Z scale!

    Wouldn't Marklin V100 DB hydraulic diesel's chassis convenient for this ? ;)

More British Columbia Railway and a Z scale Alco RS-3 and MLW /Alco 630 both wide vision and normal nose. For a mass production item a 65' wood chip car in BCOL/CN/CPR/BN/UP, one could only hope as no one is producing a Z scale wood chip car that is not a altered coal car.

FR of Germany offered brass wood chip cars many years ago. Robert Ray offered laser cut kits of the wood chip cars that were really well received. Both have been off the market for some time. Here is one of the covers of Ztrack showcasing these cars.

I wish MTL would do a Z scale F-unit and a NE caboose in the Western Maryland's Red, White & Black circus scheme. A re-run of the WM "Speed" scheme F-unit plus adding a matching oxide red caboose would be welcome too! Why manufacturers (in all scales) don't do more cabooses to match available locomotives has always puzzled me, I hate having to buy either one on speculation that the other may be produced someday...

I understand why most European manufacturers are sensitive to this, but I would like to see more locos and rolling stock made in the colours of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft in WW2- especially some of the more unusual armoured locos and streamlined pacifics that you now have to pay an arm and a leg for just a glimpse of.

Just one arm required ... and it's yours! :D

Marklin has released plenty of locos in the so called Era II over the years: BR44, BR52, BR52 Condensation Tender in war grey, on top nearly all other steamers in standard black.
Streamliners are rare, but I wouldn't be surprised idf they are re-released soon, Marklin is doing a lot of re-runs of older designs, now with detail gear. Armoured loco is available from Z-Panzer of Andy Hart, great stuff. Cars are plenty around, from Marklin and small series builders like me, and yes, they don't cost an arm, but a couple of fingers ;-)
