Welcome everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend and worked on all those great projects you posted about on Friday. No trains this weekend, save for hearing my friend work the local short line out of Concord. I spent two days at the State DMV Motorcycle Safety Course and successfully passed both my riding ability course as well as the written course. Now it's off to find a motorcycle. So how about you? What did you get done this past weekend? Let us know. We'll be back again on Friday, May 3rd to start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always... High Greens!
Tinkered with a couple of balky couplers. Reorganized my coupler/truck spare parts box. Sorted out some items to try selling. Ordered a few coupler conversions and a tool.
I was able to get the plans drawn up for a new scratch build. Sunday I then built a card stock mock-up to check the measurements. I can shorten the height about 1/4” and it will work out nicely. I can also lower the point of the roof as well. When finished one will will be missing so the inside can be seen. I also ordered about $200 worth of decals so I can finish a bunch of cars needing finishing. I have given myself until June 1 to finish a bunch of projects. These are everything from rolling stock, scenery details and a scratch build.
As I wrote for weekend plans: Friday evening, I went with a couple of other friends to our friends house and helped him with his On30 layout. Resolved a couple of minor track issues. And, gave him some ideas for a couple of buildings. Saturday: I went to visit Otto's (cajonpassfan) layout. All I can say is: --- WOW!! What a wonderful layout he is building!! Tried to run one of my F7 sets -- I'm such a bonehead, I forgot it's DCC address. I remembered on my way home!! DOH!! Sunday: Worked a bit on a caboose project. My heart wasn't in it -- so, I had to stop, before I mucked it up. Hope Y'all had a great weekend!! Wolf
Installed my first sound decoder Digitrax, for now, in case i screwed the thing up royally and lost $$
Thanks Kurt it's my first Briggs Models TOFC kit. I search the correct decals. Highball Graphics and TMR haven't decals.....

For my first car I use a mix of Highball Graphics decals. There were various remains of Decals for Skeleton Log Cars.I would print it myself, but my printer does not print white.
