Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and got a lot accomplished. Let’s dig in.

Saturday: Friday night, set up took a while. The entire FreeMo set up filled an entire gymnasium. It was not without its pitfalls and electrical gremlins either unfortunately. I did not arrive Saturday until past noon as our furnace was acting up and required my attention. By 1:00 however it looked like trains were running. There were three switching districts and a large yard so my only excuse to not running was I did not have a throttle. I tried using my cell phone throttle but the WiFi was acting up.

Sunday: I returned in the morning and set out to run my new B&M Genesis GP38-2. With WiFi problems the first day, I borrowed a friend’s Digitrax throttle but had more problems. Unfortunately his throttle was not working correctly. I did manage to get the cell phone throttle working but by then it was time to tear down. I did operate with fellow Trainboard member PPUIN (Dave) on one of the more challenging branches and had a lot of fun running on his Inglenook, so all was not lost. Another Cornfield FreeMo event is slated for spring 2020 and I’ll be better prepared for that one.

So how about you? What did you get accomplished in the workshop? Let us know. We’ll do it again on Friday the 18th. Until then, have a good work week, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Made some good progress on my over-engineered N Scale control panel for my old skool DC road that will have Kato Unitrack. So far, everything works as designed, even the capacitive discharge turnout controls. The control panel and railroad are being built to allow disassembly, which makes for a more complicated build. Turnouts are on the left panel, and blocks and other functions are on the right. Kato pack will rest in the middle.

Very little. A pair of Shapeways HOn30 truck frames are now soaking in Bestine. A bit of digging to locate a styrene spacer I use when installing grab irons.

My weekend modeling plans didn't pan out. Over did it on Saturday so couldn't make the stairs to the layout on Sunday but hey, next weekend isn't that far away.

    Very productive weekend.

Thursday I started to rebuild the control tower. All that is left now is the main building to go on the platform.

Saturday I spent the day working on the depot. Same with Sunday. I got all the parts cut out, windows and doors cut out. Got it all painted up. Now comes assembly. Also need to figure out how to make the doors now and what color
To paint them. The roof is box car red (I found full red to match) and the walls are colonial yellow that the WP called rustic. I found a sand color to match. The trim will be white when attached. So doors might just be the boxcar red as well. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
