Sitting in the Caboose they were talking about 'The La Veta Pass' were headed into Alamosa! Now the wife and I rode the bike thru there in 2012, rode the train from Alamosa to Walsenburg and bus back excursion, the 'Pass' may get snowy but is not anywhere near as rugged as made out in that movie!! And no associated train tracks 'Over the Hill'!!

Switchback had a cafe in Wondervu that appeared in the movie. I emailed the cafe once and they confirmed it proudly!

Not super old, but do home movies count?
Follow the Rio Grande Zephyr in 1972 from Arvada on the outskirts of Denver, thru Little and Big Ten, Clay, Blue Mountain Rd and Coal Creek, throughout the Tunnel District (Tunnels 3-7, 10-12, 16, 17, 19, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29 well presented), Byers and Gore Canyons and over the Espee in this phenomenal video:

That may not even be F9A #5771 on the point. IIRC they used an F7 in the earliest days of the Rio Grande Zephyr - maybe #5761 - don't remember from memory. Looks like Southern Pacific FP7 ABA set on the last train in the Sierra's. I have Genesis FP7's SP with icebreakers to model that set.
