last thing i purchased train related was a kato c44-9w lettered BNSF 727 and that was i believe in 2019.

non train related was i bought a bunch of firefighting stuff from a friend of mine that is a member of a local VFD (he was an assistant chief in another FD, and i built him a lightbar in the color he needed), paid 350 for 1 minibar, 1 visor bar, mobile radio, headlight flasher, 2 switchboxes and a few other things.

I also purchase 8 - 1 Foot square Cork pieces to experiment with. My wife was really happy when she discovered these and asked me if I had bought them for the new poster board wall she was planning. I just nodded, stayed quiet and said your welcome honey keeping in mind - o_O

Nice pipe cutter, but 5mm is closer to 3/16", not 5/8". So you have even more range than you thought!

I haven't picked up N Scale stuff lately, but someone in a Japanese Model Train group on FB pointed this out to me, so I ordered it from the Bay. Now, all I need is the Evangelion Series 500 Shinkansen.

What was that my mom used to tell me? "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!" I hope none of my future granddaughters see that...

Here's the Neon Genesis Evangelion Series 500 Shinkansen that I'm looking for. Both Tonix and Kato have released it:

it was a toss up for me to get this or the new Kato 20th Century Limited... I went the Kato route because I had a good chunk of $$$ right now. Whenever my tax return gets here the Hello Kitty will be in my rails!

The Japanese make it fun to ride their trains. The Evangeleon train had an exclusive car that had a control seat from Unit 01 in it. You had to pay extra for that, and there was only one ticket per trip sold, but you got a real treat if you were one of the lucky ones who won the ticket. You had to enter a lottery, for the seat and if you won, you paid more for your ticket to ride in that special car. Also the stewards were dressed in a pilot suit for the winning ticket holder.

with the Hello Kitty, you got to ride a specially decorated train, and the crew wore hello Kitty stuff, and there was special merch to buy. One of the non train items I’m looking to buy is a limited run and numbered pocket watch only available from the train.

the only problem I see with those trucks, it the workers would need to have alternate transportation back to base .
