Looks like you are making great progress Keith! You might have said before. But, how far are you away from the D&RGW MT going west out of Denver?
We see some really nice homes headed out of Denver. Man is it growing out west of DV! Housing getting closer and closer to the big 10's!

About 35 miles north of Denver. About an hours drive to the Tunnel from
Longmont. Maybe a bit longer, depending on road conditions!! Haven’t
been that way in about 5 years now! Would like to get up that way at least once this year!
Almost afraid to see what the area along Hwy 93 and Hwy 72, Coal Creek Canyon, look like these days!
Wasn’t too bad, when friend and I rode the “new” Ski Train to Winter Park.

Picked up several new goodies for the railroad, after
    dialysis yesterday. Included are:

    2 - MILW ore cars
    [IMG]

    3pr(6) - LGB logging disconnects
    [IMG]

6 - LGB 2 axle flat cars. One time loads removed long ago!

Now, need to find the correct Kadee couplers, so I can convert the ore cars
and 2 each of the log trucks and flats. Will keep the LGB couplers between
then flats and keep the working link and pin couplers and/or the extension
    poles between them.

Photos a bit later. When I feel I have enough energy to get said photos!
Dialysis yesterday just flat wiped me out!!

Doing some research, I'm rather confused now!
Checked the Kadee site, for couplers, for new cars.
Oddly, the recommended couplers do NOT fit the cars.
The log trucks and flats call for truck mounted couplers.
However, neither car have truck mounted couplers!
Interestingly, an 831 coupler almost fits! Only thing is, it's
    about 1/8" too low!

Tempted, once paid, to try a set of 909 and 833 couplers
just to see if they'll fit. Need to do the ends of 2 cars only.
Just so I can couple to locomotive. Will probably use the LGB
DRGW #50 locomotive for power. Or my NW-2 set, even if not
prototypical! Anyway, any help/information is appreciated.
    Thanks.

A few things have since happened!
Have 1 MILW ore car converted, with minor issues, to Kadee.
Finally got my defective GP40 sound board back!! So, when I
get a chance, I’ll work on getting it reinstalled.
Then, hopefully, I can get a few track pieces ordered, and get started
again on replacing the last of my Aristo switches. And getting the last
of my track back together and actually running!

Would be nice to run a plow extra! This weekend would be
perfect, IF we weren’t expected to get anywhere from 12 - 24
inches of snow, or more, between now and Monday AM. Might
not see the railroad for a month, after this!

As of 7:30ish this morning, original time, we had just under 12 inches of snow!
Might still be lightly snowing the rest of today and into tonight.
Waiting for breakfast now. Going to check snowblower when done!
Try to get it fired up and attempt to clean driveway!

So far, my part of ND's winter has been mild. Dry and mild. Should be interesting come spring?

Measured 12 inches in the front driveway. Between Mom and I, we
managed to get my side of the driveway clear. Took almost 3 hours!
And now, there’s about an inch of snow covering what we already cleared!!
Might not be able to get out of the driveway tomorrow, to get to dialysis.
That may have to be put off until Tuesday, to make up for tomorrow.
Might not find the railroad until mid summer now!!

This is the front yard, as seen from the front door:

Yes, there’s supposed to be a railroad there, somewhere!!
Might not see it for another couple of months! Don’t think
my snowplow is gonna work this time!

Yikes! That's what our winters normally look like. Right now, we have no snow left. Supposed to get more this coming week but temperatures are warm enough to melt it pretty quickly.

Aren't there services available to get you to dialysis?

City services in Longmont will be closed Monday!
And due to get up to another 6 inches of snow overnight
before storm leaves the area. May have to clean driveway
again in the morning! And finish the folks side of the driveway!
Maybe try to dig out more of the street, so there’s a better
chance at getting out as needed. If I can’t make dialysis tomorrow
I’ll go in Tuesday to make up. This snow is making a big mess of things!
Second largest in recent history! And a Top 10 of all time!
The biggest, was like 31.85 inches in 1913.

Keith, I live by Brighton. When I woke up this morning, I thought it wasn’t too bad. Boy was I wrong. Blizzard conditions have buried everything. Even with a tractor, I probably have 2 hrs of snow removal tomorrow.

We had MAYBE 2" of snow over night and places are shutting down. Hard to believe what Minnesotans have become.

I may be a little soft now at age 68 but when I was young, I shoveled my way to school a mile away through two feet of snow both ways.
