What a great layout! And nice resolution on the camera too - what camera did you use?

I tried to use the miniature spy cameras - which fit nicely on a flat car - but between poor instructions (usually written by someone with English as a third language) and inflated specs found that to be pretty much a dead end.
I ended up using a DJI Pocket 2 which is a wonderful device and would probably be better if I could use it with a cell phone as intended by the manufacturer - but that's not gonna happen because although my cell is a good one and a smart one, it's apparently neither good enough nor smart enough to properly interface in order to update the firmware and unlock the better features. I guess you need an Apple or Samsung, not my excellent LG.
But it did the job and I love it and hope to make some more movies with it.
Now if Microsoft hadn't discontinued Movie Maker...

Sweeping curves and that scenery. What a feeling of distance traveled. Wow.

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!
The trackwork is so smooth I saw no jitter at all, bit even through the crossovers!

    Very well done!

I was fine until I put in a new gaming machine a week ago (so I can run Flight Simulator) and then found that Microsoft had eliminated the downloads of Movie Maker. All I need to do is light editing and a fade or two...and though I've tried three other programs I can find nothing that will allow a fade. And of course I reset the old machine and took it downstairs to use it on the Sub, replacing a 14 year old machine. Which also ran Win 10. (Hey, I'm a little geeky...ex sysadmin.)

You could always download the free version of DaVinci Resolve, if you want an overkill for editing. ;)

Otherwise, maybe try one of Kdenlive, OpenShot, ShotCut, they are all OSS.

Thanks, I'll bear those in mind. I tried three different "simple" editors and none of the offer a fade as an effect...I really don't want something too complex simply because I don't want to have to put in a lot of learning time on what should be simple...

Are you running the NEW Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020? As for the video editor, Shotcut is really easy and has the fade in and out. I mean it takes a bit to learn, but not really that much. It's freeware! There are a few YouTube videos on it. I just use the basic stuff!

Good luck and happy flying and model railroading :) If you ever want to fly in Multiplayer join my Discord in the signature. If you like that type pf stuff!

Shotcut extremely simple Fade. Sorry about the audio, one pair of my headphones has a funky mic, my bad. But a fade is really simple in Shotcut!

I guess I should have put this in Cattle Car area? Sorry!

Yes to 2020. I've simmed since the Sublogic days...don't do multiplayer, I'm a loner just like with railroading! I plan to d/l shotcut and give it a try...got a few things in mind, and want to do an eastbound cab ride...

I'd worry about that - there are a lot of warnings about malware and other nasties in that software...

I've been a flight sim fan for a long time now, and after seeing some of the home setups that people have, I'm somewhat regretting dedicating all of the space I had available in the basement to the trains alone, especially with the release of MSFS 2020. ;)

@Jim Reising @TrainzLuvr I think you will like Shotcut video editing software. I only use the basics, and that's why I like it so much, plus FREE. Gonna start a Flight Sim topic in the Cattle Car. Sorry about these off topic post in your thread, btw :)

In the process of shooting the cab ride, the camera snagged a couple of cars in staging and derailed them. In order to rectify the problem, all trains in staging had to come out. Now, there was no difficulty rerailing any of the cars, but clearances are tight under there and it's easier to simply pull everything out and park the trains on the mains. Besides that, it gives me an excuse to JFRTM. Here's what that looks like, and thanks to shotcut:
