Hi , Thanks for the membership. I had N gauge back in the late 70's & early 80's and have bought a bit more recently. I have mostly SP and some collectable-ish cars. I don't have room for a layout due to the shed being primarily a machine shop supporting dad's live steam C&O loco. I've done some railfan photography , about half Australian , half USA spanning from the 90's to about a year ago.

    Welcome to TrainBoard 308GTSi.

I couldn't help but notice the name. What a classic machine.

Hopefully you'll post some photos of your N scale, your dad's live steam, a the 308GTSi.

Welcome to TrainBoard 308GTSi! Always been a fan of that car. Would be cool to see some of your railfan photos! What region of Australia are you in?

Here's the live steam. The K4 is dads and the H8 is my cousin Niels. They're kinda C&O fans if you hadn't guessed. Both locos built by their owners from scratch. Occasionally people ask "what did they cost?" ,,, the answer for each is "25 years! ".

I'm in Queensland , just north of Brisbane. I hope you guys are thinking of the Italian car and not the Australian produced 308GTS , GM product. :)

and the original photo of it for sale in the UK. This is the photo that convinced me to part with 18 years of savings ..... didn't buy any N gauge for that period !

Welcome to TB. That is a pretty car, it looks better with the color co-ordinated license plate. :)

I'm still getting an understanding of the various parts of the site. As best I understand photos in the Railimages part are limited to 2Mb per photo ?? When , why should we submit them ? I have thousands taken across the USA and apart from trackside railfanning I have taken detail photos of locomotives and rolling stock such as K4 2755 at Chief Logan State Park in West Virginia. I have about 300 of that loco which are great reference for super detailers and rivet counters. If you are in any way involved in live steam you automatically get admitted to the rivet counters association. I don't want to put them all on due to the huge amount of space they would take up even at 2mb per photo. All up I have about 12,000 photos of trains ..... no cars.
