Well, the listing might say "Conrail Powered Southern" but the model itself clearly says "Southern Pacific", as does the box. Not sure where he got Conrail from.
I think that the "ACIF" is intended to be P"ACIF"IC. A weird mispell. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
SP 10 was in Texas where it was flooded in the early 2ks and almost destroyed after it sat waist deep in salt water for days. A local (Sacramento) group was able to get ahold of it before it was scraped and it is currently being restored in Woodland, CA. They even have a FB page. https://www.facebook.com/SPRDC10/ Wait, their FB page says it was moved to Rocklin in July 2020...anyone know where (since I live 5 miles from Rocklin but I haven't seen it anywhere here). While the Kato RDCs ran much better, the Concor RDCs where originally made by Kato WAY back in the day. If I didn't already have the Concor AND the Kato version (Kato is awaiting SP numberboards and decals), I would seriously consider bidding on it.
Hee-Hee.......Surprised You missed my 'Slight?' Error. I relisted a " Cotton Belt" caboose and changed the price. However, i did not completely remove the Old Price completely. Result was the new price was only $3,295.95.. Hmm surprised I did not get multiple bids????? I Changed it!!!!!!
I have to chuckle at this person with this question >Does that engine even have a motor? I saw this on a faceb. N-SCALE model RR page . Tom
Round Two.. I have to chuckle at this person > didn’t realize how expensive N scale has become before I saw these on ebay! I saw these on faceb. N-SCALE model RR page . Tom
I am puzzled by the bidding shown. Value at a swap meet is maybe a couple of dollars for that batch. Very strange...
High Speed was a free promo that Readers Digest once had. While they are 'N scale' (meaning the scale is correct) the engines are unpowered and the couplers don't 'work'. They are the bain of my existence since every 'southern pacific' search on EBay turns up hundreds of these junk trains...most of them priced as if they are 'rare' and 'collectable'.
All, Here's one for you ..LIMA 253 N Scale Locomotive Steam 2-6-4 T Pennsylvania 383 | eBay . Love the $ and how it states the Condition on this one ! Tom
Methinks that there must be some radio button I'm missing on the selling page: 0 Condition is "New." 0 Condition is "Like New." 0 Condition is "Used." As if that is all that is required. Allow me to translate: "New" - mind the quotation marks "Like New" - doesn't run "Used" - doesn't run
A fair price and honest description, but my head still hurts. https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-At...gine-Passenger-Train-Shell-Only/164805907753?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Trainw...826678?hash=item23f32f6bf6:g:c7YAAOSwCRtga7M2 Doesn't the seller at least stop and think to ask themselves, 'Will any buyer believe that this is even worth it?'
Anyone else have one of these (apparently) rare gems? https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-N-SCA...C-Spirit-of-1776-U25B-Locomotive/294037534288 Nothing peculiar about it, but I had no idea that the (asking) price had gone into orbit. I recall buying one of these locos from BLW sometime in the previous century to use with a set of the MTL/KD bicentennial cars from 45 years ago.
Actually that's not a bad price to start. People (not me!) pay more than that for Trainworx complete trucks. They do command those crazy prices. Just search on eBay for completed auctions of Trainworx trucks and many are North of $300.
